When the Hudson Milk Company was created we had one old delivery truck, a handful of customers and a dream to deliver fresh and safe food products . Today we have more than 700 customers spread throughout Westchester, Putnam Counties of New York, as well as Fairfield County in Connecticut.
When Tom Rubino started this business, his keen interest in the origins of our food supply and a passion to protect the environment were highlighted by memories of his father running a butcher shop in Manhattan. As a young boy, Tom could see how valuable it was to create good relationships with customers and offering top-quality products delivered with personal service. Now Tom is proud that the next generation of the family has joined him and his wife Therese with the same enthusiasm, work ethic, and zeal to offer their customers quality service. We have known some of our loyal customers since their kids were small, and we still serve then today even when those same children are off to college. We are proud of being a small, family-owned and operated, interpersonal business, and to know our customers by their first names. It was the good old-fashioned way to do business when we started and it is still that way today.
Our products are sourced from local farms so that we can be sure about the origins and the quality of food we offer. People notice that our premium milk is fresher, colder, and better-tasting in glass bottles. Popular wisdom has caught up with our ideals and the demand for natural, farm-fresh, local products has increased and our chemical-free, recyclable glass bottles are especially appealing.
We strive to be an integral part of the community by supporting local farms and providing fresh, quality food products to customers and we are grateful that we have accomplished the original objectives of The Hudson Milk Co. by creating an honest, forthright, and friendly business, which continues to grow weekly, mostly by word-of-mouth from our satisfied customers.
