Belgian Sugar Waffle

The Liège waffle is a dense, crunchy waffle, made with yeast dough instead of batter and sweetened with real pearl sugar, imported from Belgium.

They are a traditional grab and go food in Belgium, Pika's home country, and served warm by street vendors around the nation. 

The Hudson Valley has fallen in love with these waffles and they have been voted Best Waffles in the Hudson Valley by readers of Hudson Valley Magazine.

Store in the freezer and heat them up in your toaster or stovetop in a skillet. They are great by themselves or with a topping of your choosing.
